Time begins well after life starts. For others time stops abruptly. Places for both become real and the conversation between the two begins. With 'Time and Place', I admit fully a powerlessness and begin trudging. Drawing creates the artifacts you see here, while providing a safe, intense and honest activity; 100% essence of self connected to the world. These drawings became witness to a first real acceptance of searching, literally, the world.
I came to realize how much people want to open up, weather as a model or a stranger while running an ordinary errand. This is a series of encounters with truly remarkable people, the drawings denoting my desire to tell their very private stories.
Drawing involves the entire body. After A Mark for Peace, I was asked to participate in dance performances, festivals, and for foundation fundraisers. All of which involved drawings as public performance.
