Performances

(2014 - Present)

I believe drawing must involve the entire body. The type of drawing I do during live performances is called mark-making. And if it only comes from the mind or heart through the hand, something suffocates. In this 'age of everything', paper wants all of us. It wants music, architecture, muses, and even the audience. When I mark-make on stage with other performers I strive to make my whole body a sensory apparatus and give it all I have.

Mark-making during performances started with “A Mark for Peace (AMFP)” - a conceptual art project I developed, in London, 2014. I was also collecting biographies when I started working as a visual artist drawing during dance presentations with Mariana Sobral's dance company eMotion Arts, in the Bay Area/CA, from 2015 to present day.
